Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl!

I can't believe it but Chloe Mc is turning 7! That just sounds so old to me. It feels like just yesterday I was calling my mother during the middle of the night freaking out b/c I had lightly bumped Chloe's head and she was crying. She was only a few days old and I was a nervous wreck. I was nursing her during one of our MANY late night feedings and went to switch sides. When I switched her she sort of rolled out of my arms and hit the wooden arm on the old recliner we had @ the time. I totally freaked out! I know my mom probably laughed at me after she got off the phone. I can't believe it has been almost 7 years since that happened. It makes me so sad that my children are growing up. Happy Birthday my sweet Chloe McKenzie! I love that you are growing into such a sweet, smart, BEAUTIFUL young lady who loves her stuffed animals and lip syncing to the music on the radio! I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!

Here are some pics of Chloe when she was born and of Rob & her in the recliner that I bumped her head on! Sorry they are so little. I had to scan them and didn't do the best job. Click on the pic and you can view it bigger!

Our very first trip to church...she was only 2 weeks and 5 days old!

T-ball pictures!

Carter had t-ball pics tonight. He looks so little compared to most of the kids. We decided to play him up a level this year instead of playing wee ball. I'm so glad we did....he loved it and learned so much from the older kids!

Rob was a coach but did not make it to pics because he stayed home with sick Chloe. He said he would stay home because he knew I would want to take pics with my camera.....he was trying to make it sound like a sacrifice but he was happy he didn't have to get dressed up and shaved for pics! :) We are missing around 4 or 5 kids because some are out of town. Aren't they adorable?

Thankful Thursday!

I talked to a parent of one of my students tonight and was really bothered by something she said to me. She has a really bad bladder infection and is waiting till Friday to go to the dr. I asked why she was waiting and she said it was because she didn't get paid until then. It just made me realize how blessed I am to be able to go to the dr or take my kids to the dr when we need to. I just never really thought about how other people may not be able to do this. So tonight I am thankful for my family who provided for me while I was growing up and am thankful that Rob & I both have stable, good jobs so that we can provide for our family.

Chloe's recital pics!

Chloe's recital was Saturday and she did really well! I love that she loves all the girly things! Rob wanted a tom boy but he sooo didn't get one when we had Chloe! She is just about as girly as they come! Here are some pics of her before recital and the video of her dance.

I will post the video tomorrow morning....it was taking too long! :)

He's gone!

This is where he started out!

I have been dreading June 1st for a while now. Rob gave Carter until the 1st to sleep with us and on the 1st he had to start sleeping in his own bed. The first night he didn't do too hot. He went to sleep pretty easy but was up by 1:30 wanting to go to bed with Mommy. (I kindly allowed him!) The next night he went to sleep easy again. I woke up around 3:00 a.m. and decided to go check on him (like I always do with Chloe). I get to his room and he is not in his bed. Now this is when I start to panic. I looked in his room to see if maybe he fell off the bed, etc. He was NO WHERE in the room. I quickly run into Chloe's room to check on her and to see if he is in there. I didn't see him at first and really started to freak out. I looked to the end of her bed and there he was. He was all curled up & cold laying at the foot of his Sissy's bed. I calmed down a little and decided to just leave him there. I covered him up & went back to bed. The next morning I go in to check on them. Chloe wakes up first and realizes that her brother is in her bed. SHE FREAKED OUT! So much for being the loving sister....she wanted to know WHY he was in her bed. When I explained that he was probably scared she calmed down a little bit. The next night they were both begging to sleep together. If she hadn't been sick I probably would have let them. Last night he did even better, he fell asleep without anyone in there and he slept there ALL NIGHT LONG! He was so proud of himself this morning. He told everyone how he was a big boy now! It makes me happy that he is doing so well but I am also sad that my baby isn't there with me at night anymore. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the snuggling my kids give and I miss that so much. It also makes me realize how my kids are no longer babies. Makes me realize even more how much I love the baby stage. I'm happy my kids are growing and healthy and happy but boy do I miss having a little baby/toddler. Enjoy every minute with your kiddos b/c they grow WAY too fast! :)

This is where he ended up!
